- Spend a few minutes revising the previous lesson by having the class sing the song When will Sports Day be? Invite a group to do actions in front of the class while the rest are singing.
Ps sing the song. A group does actions.
 
II. New lesson:(25’)
1. Look, listen and repeat. (6’)
- Tell the class that they are going to read a story about what someones is going to do on Sports Day.
- Have them look at the pictures and  guess what the story is about. Check their comprehension by pointing at each picture to elecit their answers to these quetions: What are their names? What are they talking about? 
- Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen, and point to the appropriate line in their books. 
- Play the recording again for pupils to repeat the lines in the speech bubbles. Repeat the step a few times.
- Practice with ps.
- Devide the class into 2 groups. Asks practice in pairs.
- Go round and check ps can repeat and understand the dialogue.
2. Point and say: (12’)
a. Vocabulary: 
- Have Ps look at the pictures. Teach them how to read the words and phrases under each picture: 
 play basketball, play football, play table tennis, play badminton.

- Have Ps practise asking and answering in pairs. Monitor the activity and offer help, if necesssary

6. Let’s play: (5’)
How do you learn English? ( Pass the secret)
 - Tell the class that they are going to play Pass the secret? Follow the procedure in Games in Intrduction..
- Divide  the class into group of seven. Ask them to line up in rows. Whisper a sentence to the first pupil in each row. The first pupil then wispers the sentences to the second one and so on. The last pupil in the row says aloud the sentences he/she heard. If the sentence is correct, the team winsssss one point. The team with the most points at the end of the game is the winner. 
- To make the game more competitive, select one pupil from each group to act teachers. These pupils should say the sentences that the class has learnt from lesson1 and 2, and they have to whisper different sentences to the teams.

- Spend a few minutes revising the previous lesson by getting two group of pupil to play Pass the secret. Then give dictation for the class to do, using the sentences that they have learnt in the previous lesson.
Point each drawing and say the address.

 1. Listen and repeat. (9’)
- Tell Ps that they are going to practise saying the questions and  the answers ,  focusing on the sentence stress. 
- Play the recording and ask Ps to repeat a few time. Then put the sentences on the board, play the recording and ask Ps to repeat a few more times.   Play the recording a few more times and let Ps say the sentences , paying attention to sentences stress.
- Do choral and individual repetition of the  sentences stress until Ps feel confident.
- Get some Ps to perform in front of the class. Check as a class and correct the pronunciation, if necessary.
2. Listen and underline the stress word. Then say the sentences aloud (9’)
a. Pre-listening:

- Play the recording all the way through for Ps to listen. Play it again for them to do the task.
- Get them to compare their answers before checking as a class. Play the recording again to confirm the answers.
