- Spend a few minutes revising by inviting some pairs  to act out the story in Activity 1 in front of the class.

a. Pre-listening:
- T looks at the books and sets the scence:
        How many sentences are there?
- Tell Ps that they are going to listen and circle a,bto complete the sentences.
- Ask them to read the sentences and guess the meanings of the sentences..
b. While-listening: 
- Play the recording all the way through for Ps to listen. Play it again for them to do the task.
- Get SS to swap and compare  their answers before checking as a class. Play the recording again to confirm the answers. 
- Give explanations for the answers which Ps find difficult

a.  Pre- reading:
- Ask Ps to look at the Activity 5. Tell them that they are going to read and complete the conversation between Nam and Tom.

- Ask Ps to read the conversation  and do the task independently.
- Get them to compare their answers in pairs before checking as a class. If there is enough time , have the class read the completed text aloud.
- Give feedback.

- Tell the class that they are going to play tic- tac- toe. Follow the procedure in Game in Introduction.

- Set the limit for the class to play the game in pair, they have to complete sentences in order to mark a box with an X or O. 
- When time is over, invite a few Ps to read their sentences aloud and put them on the board.

- Spend a few minutes revising the previous lesson by getting two groups to the front of the class to act out the completed conversation in Lesson 2, Activity 5 before introducing Lesson 3.

II. New lesson:(30’)
 1. Listen and repeat. (11’)
- Tell Ps that they are going to practise saying the questions and answers.
- Tell them to pay attention to the intonation of the sentences.
- Play the recording and ask Ps to repeat a few time. Then put the sentences on the board, play the recording and ask Ps to repeat a few more times. After that, write the sentences on the board.
- Play the recording a few more times and let Ps say the sentences , paying attention to the falling intonation.
- Do choral and individual repetition of the sounds, words and sentences until Ps feel confident.
- Get some Ps to perform in front of the class. Check as a class and correct the pronunciation, if necessary.
2. Listen and mark the sentences intonation.(11’)
- Tell Ps that they are going to listen and mark the intonation of each sentence.
- Show them how to mark the sentence intonation by writing the questions and answers on the board and mark them with arrows
- Play the recording all the way through for them to listen and follow in their books. Play it again for Ss to do the task. Go around and offer help, if necessary.
- Get them to swap and compare their answers in pairs before checking as a class.
- Invite some Ps to read aloud all the sentences.
- If time allows , ask the class to make sentences with the words.
3. Let’s chant: (8’)

- Tell ss that they are going to say the chant What do you think  of it?
- Look at the picture and guess the content
- Look and introduce the chant
- Let’s students read the chant and check their comprehension.

- Ask Ps to read the gapped sentences and think about what their  last summer holiday 
b. While-writing.
- Have Ss work in pairs or groups to disscuss What they are going to write. Tell Ss to focus on Where their last summer holiday.
- Give  them time to read the questions and write the first draft of their answers in the notebooks.
- Set a time limit for Ps to do the writing individually. Monitor the activity and offer help, if necessary.
- Get them to swap and read their writing in pairs before inviting two or three Ps to read their answers aloud.

- Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen and follow in their books. Play it again for them to do choral repetition, pointing to the characters speaking. Finally, point to each picture for them to say the words in each bubble.
- Check their understanding of the story.

- Have Ps look at the pictures. Teach them how to read the words and phrases under each picture:

- Get them to practise  saying the answer I think …… with the words under the pictures. Point to the pictures and asks the questions Which one is…,…..or….? for the class to answer.
Eg: A:Which one is smaller, Hoan Kiem Lake or West Lake?
